Just over the County line that separates Martin County from Palm Beach County and on the northern edge of our communities here is the small and often overlooked neighborhood of Little Club.
Unlike the massive complex of Century Village in West Palm Beach, Little Club is a very small cluster of condominiums and single family houses offering sunny Florida living and lifestyles to the over-55 but still active crowd. The condominiums are one and two bedrooms with under 1,000 square feet of living area, then the single family homes start around 1,000 square feet and run up to about 2,000. The appeal of life here is that you have all you need to enjoy the golden years, good friends, a cozy clubhouse with lending library, a pool and nine hole golf course and yet none of the encumbrances of owning a large home or living in a condo complex with high fees. Condo fees here are less than $ 100 per month. And since this is Martin and not Palm Beach County, all taxes and insurance are lower.
These Tequesta homes were built in the 1970’s and 1980’s although some of the single family homes have been renovated and upgraded.
How about location? The community backs up to the Jonathan Dickinson State Park so you will have no neighbors to the north, although you may see a deer wander out once and awhile to nibble soft leaves. Although in Martin County, you are technically still in Tequesta, so you have all the benefits the Village of Tequesta has to offer. Some of these are little or no crime, Village offices close by, public library and post office are newly constructed and close by, and Publix has built a new supercenter as well. Galleries and restaurants are also located in the Village.
Still like to hit the beach? Our famous beaches are just about ten minutes away and Tequesta residents can visit them with no traffic hassles.
