Parkland Map
The city of Parkland in Florida is in the northwest corner of Broward County and has a population of around 32,000. The city is roughly 12.8 square meters of which the majority is land and just 0.5 square meters is water.
Established in 1963 this humble city is home to nine parks and five public schools, there were no stores or traffic lights within the limits until the mid-1990’s and early 2000’s when larger developments started to be built. With zoning laws in place Parkland is dedicated to protecting the “park like” character of the city and is compassionate about the diverse lifestyles and peaceful suburban setting, which is why it has been named the best city in Florida to raise a family.
Parkland has great value in the youth of the city and the impact that they have. Children can attend wonderful schools entertain scholarship opportunities and even have the chance to run for the student Mayor Program.
The northern boundary of Parkland is bordered by West Boca Raton, to the east is Coconut Creek, south is Coral Springs, and west is the Everglades.
While many cities boast all things blue with fabulous waterfront destinations, Parkland is noted for all things green. Some notable destinations within the city limits include Pine Trails Park, 6 Acre Wood Park, Doris Davis Forman Wilderness Preserve, and Coconut Cove Water Park. Enjoy family dining at a choice of wonderful restaurants with menus that range from European, North African, and Middle Eastern cuisine.
